Nanomaterials for sustainable construction<\/span><\/h2>\n

To<\/span> address<\/span> the<\/span> increasing<\/span> need<\/span> to<\/span> reduce CO2 <\/span>emissions<\/span> in <\/span>the<\/span> construction<\/span> industry<\/span>, <\/span>researchers<\/span> have<\/span> investigated<\/span> the<\/span> potential<\/span> of<\/span> decreasing<\/span> the<\/span> amount<\/span> of<\/span> cement<\/span> used<\/span> in concrete <\/span>production<\/span>. <\/span>By<\/span> incorporating<\/span> our carbon<\/span> nanomaterials<\/span> into<\/span> these<\/span> materials<\/span>,<\/span><\/span> we<\/span> can reduce <\/span>the<\/span> carbon<\/span> footprint<\/span> while<\/span> also<\/span> improving<\/span> mechanical<\/span> properties<\/span> and <\/span>achieving<\/span> more precise control <\/span>over<\/span> setting<\/span> times<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

\n \n Unlocking new properties<\/span>\n

This<\/span> innovative <\/span>approach<\/span> is<\/span> leading<\/span> to<\/span> the<\/span> development<\/span> of<\/span> cementitious<\/span> matrices <\/span>with<\/span> advanced<\/span> thermal<\/span> and <\/span>electrical<\/span> characteristics<\/span>, <\/span>thus<\/span> driving<\/span> innovation<\/span> in <\/span>the<\/span> sector. In <\/span>addition<\/span>, <\/span>this<\/span> evolution<\/span> in <\/span>construction<\/span> materials<\/span> extends<\/span> to<\/span> acrylic<\/span> or<\/span> silicone-based<\/span> coatings<\/span>, where the addition of our specifically designed carbon nanofibers<\/span>\u00a0enhances<\/span> their<\/span> intrinsic<\/span> properties<\/span> and <\/span>confers<\/span> specific<\/span> qualities<\/span>, <\/span>such<\/span> as <\/span><\/span>increased<\/span> abrasion<\/span> resistance<\/span>, <\/span>improved<\/span> adhesion<\/span> and <\/span>enhanced<\/span> thermal<\/span> dissipation<\/span> capabilities<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/a>\n\n
